DarNUI Keyboard Tweaks (for 'Classic')
« on: 15.01.16, 07:12:48 »
After installing the DarNUI I wanted to change up how the arrow keys are used. I found some help from some old forums topics here. I thought this would be the best place to put this.

If you don't know if you have the 'Classic' inventory installed or not open the file inventory_menu.xml in 'Oblivion/Data/menus/main'. The 'Classic' version has 2000+ lines in it.

==================================
Prerequisites / Suggested Mods
==================================
You must have DarNified UI installed with its "Classic" menu selected.

http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/10763/? (Version 1.3.2)

It is suggested to have the DarNifiedUI Config Addon and Pluggy (which is required for the config addon).

Config Addon: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/34792/? (Version 1.4)
Pluggy: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/23979/? (Version 132)

To have a 'take all' button and more, QZ Easy Menus is a good addition.

==================================
Installation
==================================

Again: You must have DarNified UI installed with its "Classic" menu selected first!

Extract the contents to your Oblivion folder and confirm any overwrites (should be the four listed below in 'What is changed?')

==================================
What is changed?
==================================
inventory_menu.xml (data/menus/main)
container_menu.xml (data/menus)
main_menu.xml (data/menus/options)
dialog_menu.xml (data/menus/dialog)

The inventory can be navigated with the arrow keys.

The container menu works in a similar fashion (the left and right arrow keys will move between tabs instead of 'take all' and the 'close button').

The main menu now uses up and down to go through the options (because the menu is vertical it didn't make sense for left and right to move the selection).

The dialog menu when talking to someone can be navigated with the arrow keys (DarNUI makes the up arrow key  go right to the persuasion and down arrow key say goodbye).
